NOT LOSING FAT:( - estkay - 11-26-2016 10:54 PM

Hey,
I finished a 5 month reverse diet ended at 2,300 calories and around 150 lb. I started at 140 lb. I do crossfit 90 min 3x a week and 1 60 min crossfit class. I also just started playing 60 min of basketball once a week.
I am at 147 lb for the last month and it just stays there. I lowered my calories to 1900 C-200 P-135 F-60. I keep fluctuating between 146-148. I do not want to lower any more but not seeing any changes. I also hired a professional coach in the fitness model and bodybuilding industry and he wanted my to carb cycle and do 2 days a week at 2,000 calroies and 5 days at 1,600. I did not use him since I felt that was way to low. What should I do at this point? I also should mention I do not see any changes in my body fat so not just looking at scale.

Red flag:

Sounds like you've had a good start to your recovery. It's good news that your weight is stabilizing within the 2300 range.

Given your good recovery, I certainly wouldn't recommend that you start any counterproductive carb cycling or low-calorie cycling schemes.

Stay the course. Five months is nothing compared to the long-term prison sentence of low calorie diets.

Without knowing more details about your stats, I would think that you did note reach your TDEE at 2300. Your activity level is high and that means you burn more. Put your stats in the calculator and lets see what does it give you: http://eatmore2weighless.com/weight-loss-calculator/

The coach you consulted most likely uses techniques that will get the clients ready to compete fast, but that will become damaging to your metabolism and body. This is a great read on the subject (click through the pin for full article: http://pin.it/TbWGcWT

Also I don't think your macros are on point, have you looked into increasing your protein and fat to reach 40/30/30?

Thanks! I appreciate your response. The calculator says I should be eating 2,165 calories for a 15% cut. I wasn't losing weight at that number so I lowered. It just seems too high.
