HIIT vs. Steady State Moderate vs. just walking - meredithharb - 11-17-2012 07:34 PM

There have been a few new studies that illustrate some pretty detrimental effects of HIIT on thyroid and sex hormones. http://suppversity.blogspot.com/2012/11/science-round-up-seconds-vitamin-e.html

Now these are pretty intense, pretty long sessions, but HIIT all the same. I am trying to dig out of a hormone hole here and want to do some sort of cardio type work 2 days a week. So anyone here an expert on this?

I was thinking on a very short HIIT - 4 rounds - then walking for the remainder. Or, should I keep it to walking. I actually reluctant to go into the moderate zone since I am all about gaining muscle right now. But if that's the best I'll do it anyway.

Thanks!
