Hoping this is the best decision I have ever made.....

RE: Hoping this is the best decision I have ever made.....
That sounds frustrating West!! When my husband was diagnosed with hashimotos I googled to find a Dr in our area who had the best patient reviews in that area of medicine. "Stop the Thyroid Madness" website had a link that lead to me finding our current Dr who is really great. Or, can you take your mum with you next time or just state firmly that you felt really great when you were on XXX of the medication and now that you are on XX you feel really crap and you would like to go back to what was working (easier said than done).

Hope your new accommodation is working out well and you have everything organised.

And Uni - have you finished now - that is really big.

Hope everything is looking up for you.

RE: Hoping this is the best decision I have ever made.....
A new first for me this morning, walked out of my workout after only 4 sets just struggled Sad My head is a mess at the moment, I can feel my weight creeping up and up even thought i'm eating below tdee. Appetite is hit and miss.

A friend with a friend on the inside managed to get me the email address of the secretary of the end specialist in Aberdeen. Fired off an email yesterday. Although my professor has since retired i'm hoping she will be able to help.

House move went ok. Gym isn't exactly set up but I have two barbells and dumbbells to work with.

Specialist portfolio handed in Mon, Photos for exhibition went to the printers on Tue should be ready to collect soon.

Exhibition opening evening is the 2nd June and it look like the clothes I wore to last years exhibition won't fit Sad In my mind I thought I would at least be the same or a little bit trimmer for this exhibition. Never crossed my mind that i'd be bigger.

(((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))

I'm sorry you have been having such a stressful time! It's hard being in the limbo not knowing what's going on. Deep breaths, you can do this.

Hey West, Hope this new specialist will listen to you so you can get back to normal. It must be feeling frustrating to be having so many bad symptoms and to be gaining weight too.

It must feel disappointing to be bigger - but maybe if you find something in a flattering style in a stunning colour that suits you, then you will be more likely to feel really great and enjoy your night. Hope your exhibition is a huge success - you certainly take stunning photos.

Nothing much has changed Sad Secretary of my old specialist couldn't really help, saying that my new GP should have access to those letters, if they didn't or were having trouble then my GP would have to contact hem then they would help. Meanwhile i'm stuck in limbo. Did see a different GP who agreed to refer me to a specialist and took the contact details I had for the specialist in Aberdeen. Now its just a waiting game and it could be a long wait.

Degree is finished, here are the three images that were selected for the exhibition.

One moonlit night.

Congratulations on finishing your degree!!!!!!!! Your images are amazing, no wonder they were picked for the exhibit! I love "lost in contemplation". Beautiful work!

I'm sorry to hear you are lost in the limbo with the doctors... I wish you didn't have to wait for all the burocracy that exists in scheduling appointments...

RE: Hoping this is the best decision I have ever made.....
Thanks guys happy

It's just over two years since I started em2wl, today I stepped on the scales and weighed heavier than I did when I started - 73.8kg Sad It took a year to lose just over 6kg and just over 6 months to put on 9kg SadSad

The last two months I have been consistently under TDEE and have still put weight on (24th April 72.6) I really don't know what to do, part of me thinks I should eat TDEE for a few weeks but scared about gaining more weight. Part of me thinks I should eat even less just to get a level while my thyroid is out of whack.

I am beyond frustrated and don't know what to do.

An interesting read:

International society of sports nutrition position stand: diets and body composition.

Took me ages to read it, one paragraph at a time as concentration kept dropping off.
