Carley's journey to health
I was doing well for so long, until I had a relapse. Until it hit me in the face, that I had to make some major changes, that I needed outside help. I spent the past few months in relapse of restrictive eating.

I've spent the last two months trying to bring my calories up, I've been seeing a dietitian and soon psychologist. Honestly I have a long way to go and this will not be a quick fix, but I do not want to feel like this. Because of restricting my appendix is inflamed, my liver enzymes are higher then normal and my cholesterol is borderline (I had always had low cholesterol!) My body is far from happy. After eating I'm bloated and my stomach hurts.

I love cardio, I love to walk, they say do what you enjoy and I love walking. I need to give myself rest days. I walk about 7 hours a week.

I NEED to stop fasting. Eating breakfast tomorrow will be hard but I need to stop making excuses right? I have no interest in doing a cut at all, I'd be happy to maintain my weight. (I never thought I'd say this) weight loss is not a goal for me because it is a huge trigger. No matter how healthy my intentions are.

My current stats are:
35 years old.
163cms.
My last weigh in was 79 kilos (173lbs) I will confirm that tomorrow.
My TDEE is 2300 calories, I'm currently at 2100 calories.

I'm excited to see how high I can get my calories, because I'm sick of just surviving I want to live. No more being hungry, no more saying no, it is time to say yes!!!

I'd love some friends on MFP if anyone is interested?

RE: Carley's journey to health
Hey Carly! Good to see you here!

Life does happen and triggers do hit us and next thing we know is that we are spiraling downward again. But kudos for being such a warrior and seeing it for what it is while getting help!

Remember, baby steps, one little change at a time. Don’t try to change it all at once!

Lots of us are spending more time in the Facebook group those days (more action, we can share more info and Kiki and the team are around all the time, plus that’s where the #crushers are). Join us here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1754102281470874/

Together we go much farther!

Yay! We all love this forum, but the Crushing the Diet Mentality ends up being the spot where we hang out more often. Plus we can share videos and Kiki loves going live there. It’s moderated by Ichel and Kiki, so there’s no spamming or “mean” comments, just solid support!

You may definitely journal here or add your updates still.

See you there!

By the way, I recently visited your side of the world! Perth is such a cute city!

RE: Carley's journey to health
It's amazing how things can change, but not always for the positive. For the past (who knows how long now) I've been in a relapse with restrictive bulimia. For me I feel like I had hit rock bottom (or pretty close to it) For the past couple of months I've been 'surviving' off 800 calories and walking 90 minutes every day. Today is day 2 at 1100 calories, so far I'm up 600 grams (1llb) which is honestly scaring me. I'm not sure if I can do this, but I need to. I'm not even going to mention the side effects I'm facing right now because it is too depressing.

My current stats are:
35 years old.
163cms.
My last weigh in was 72 kilos (158.4lbs)
My TDEE is 2100 calories, I'm currently at 1100 calories.

Hi Carley, You are on the right path now. Don't beat yourself up for the relapse - relapse is a part of recovery. ... It IS so scary to see yourself going up on the scale - but you can do this - gather all the courage you can - it is going to take courage to go through with this. Everyone is cheering you on. :-)
