RE: how much do i need to eat to gain muscle?
Thanks so much, Lucia!
I've read through the basics and I think I understand how much to eat in cut mode, but presumably with starting weight training, I'll want to bulk. Does that mean that I need to eat at TDEE? Above it? And when will I know to switch to cut mode?
Sorry - there is probably a video that addresses these questions, and I apologize for asking questions that you've answered a million times. Can you tell me how to find the relevant threads or videos?

Ok, to gain you eat up to 15% above tdee. You should gain about .5lb a week. Half fat and half muscle. Bulk usually goes for around 10 weeks then go into cut for 10 to 12 weeks then maintenance mode for 12 weeks.

I was curious about this too. I'm nowhere near the part in my journey where I would intentionally bulk, but I've wondered how it works. Sounds like a good reason to get to eat some extra yummy food!

OP - Good luck with your bulking. Make sure you post some progress pics for us to see!

Bump for future reference. The thought of bulking scares me somewhat at the moment but I would like some muscle happy
