Finally found my way to the fourm
Hello Its Erica
I finally found my way here...
So here I sit 20 pounds higher than before I started my reset....and still not at my TDEE.
Here's my struggle today and for the past few weeks....
When I lost the 60 pounds (from starving myself) I felt proud of myself for successfully losing more weight than I ever had before,I had been eating right (so I thought) nad working out consistently for a year. I was so confident in the fact that I was going to be able to keep it off...
Now sitting here gaining close to half of the weight back I find myself feeling ashamed of myself.... What do I do with all these stupid emotions.
Who else here has struggled with this , surly I'm not the only one..... It's like I don't even want to go into public for fear of running into someone who will notice that Ive gain so much weight. I know I should care less about what other people think but in reality, I do care. Its really playing with my head... any advise !
Thanks
Erica

RE: Finally found my way to the fourm
Hi Erica, Really, all that matters is what you think of yourself. We tend to be harder on ourselves than other are. So, stop wondering, worring about what others may or may not be saying! I had to convince myself that I,JOAN, am not the topic of peoples conversations! They have their own issues!
So start today, making the right changes, so YOU can be healthy for long term success!! This is as much mental as much as physical, YOU can do this. I have confidence in you!! Now have confidence in yourself!!

Joan

Thanks for your response Jaeone
That's what I'm working on. Really trying not to care what people think about me. That's the easy part... Its the feeling of shame that I'm having a hard time with.... I just need to try to see myself the way God sees me .. hopefully when the weight starts coming back off I will start to feel better about my self Boy I sound pathetic tonight
have a great night
Erica

Really try to love your self right where you are, the way that you look now. You already have some great qualities that have nothing to do with your weight. You don't sound pathetic. We have all been there and have felt that way. You are more than that number on the scale, you are more than the size you wear! You are awesome, because God made you!

No one could say it better than Joan did!

It is so true --- when we walk into a room why is it that we always feel like everyone is staring at us, while the reality is that they don't even know we are in the same room!

Just concentrate on being the best you that you can be. You are strength training, upping your calories, repairing your metabolism and investing some time and effort in YOU and there is nothing wrong with that. On the contrary, if repairing your metabolism means that you have to carry around a few extra pounds during the process, then so be it. Hang in there girl - you are doing the right thing FOR YOU, and THAT is what matters, not hat inconsequential people that may pass through your life may be thinking... (((hugs)))
