I swear it's difficult to post pictures. I seem to be back where I was last year... prob a good thing at least.

Good for you! I really can see changes. It is such a good idea to post pics. I may get myself to do this, even being very camera shy. The progress is totally there!

I can see some great changes going on! In the front view your tummy looks much tighter, and in the side view your butt looks much higher and tighter. Go you!

RE: Mary Jo's Journal... Yo.
Thanks ladies. I've been feeling svelte lately. Quite a nice feeling. My weight has been pretty stable. I've gotten a bit on the lower side of my weight fluctuation this past week. Probably water fluctuations with my cycle.

05/21/2016: 177.1
05/28/2016: 177.2 T
06/04/2016: 176.7 1947.9 (cut 3: wk 1)
06/11/2016: 177.2 2078.6 (cut 3: wk 2)
06/18/2016: 177.2 ?????? T
06/25/2016: 177.1
07/02/2016: 176.4

I haven't been counting macros or calories for the past few weeks. It's quite nice. I know generally I haven't swung to much either way for my TDEE, but I can't say that for certain. It's nice because I just follow my hunger cues and try to focus on how much protein i've gotten in a day.

With feeding my hunger, I've been killing it in my workouts. My core feels stronger and engaged. My back squats with pause sits at 75lbs for 8. My knees are good. I'm happy with how much weight I'm lifting. Doubt has crept into my head on how much more progress can I make. What if I get past the weight of my dumbbells can do (i.e. 45lb max). What if my knees get hurt again. Will I always be stuck at this size of thighs. LOL

Woo hoo! 9th WO of Stage 3 of Strong. Three more to go and then Stage 4. It's going by quick. Quicker than what i was doing some months ago where it took a good 2 months to get through stage 2. I think the fueling of my body and break I took those tender months ago helped me out.

I've also tried to think of exercise as a way to feel better as I always seem to feel grateful and happier once my WO is done. happy

Yep, always try to embrace exercise as a privilege and not a punishment. We are lucky to be able to do what we can...

RE: Mary Jo's Journal... Yo.
Wow! It's almost been a month since I've written a post.

Today I start on Stage 4 of Strong. With softball starting in the beginning of the month, it's been trying to get 3 lift sessions in. I'm working my best at getting them in.

I'm stoked for Stage 4. I can feel my body getting stronger. I'm able to do 3-4 decent pushups without having to revert to my slow decent to the floor kind.

I've also gotten my back squats up to 80 lbs. It's the most I've done ever... even when I was at a lighter weight.

My body weight hasn't gone anywhere. I'm still around 177, but I haven't kept track of my calories for over a month now. I try to start counting and then I just give up on the first day. I know that if I want to shed some of this fat than what a recomp will give me, I'd have to keep track of my calories. I just mentally do not want to put the effort into tracking.

Well, that's my update for today. With all the yard work yesterday, it's a bit trying to get my lifting session going today, but I'll need to if I'm to get stronger. Now thinking about it, a nap sounds better. LOL.

RE: Mary Jo's Journal... Yo.
You are seeing nice strength gains and seem like you are in a good spot - you are making progress and your mindset is healthy - so I say don't track and let the recomp happen. If you see the scale creep up you can always track a little to sort of reposition yourself. Nice work and good to hear from you!
