More Yoga :)
I already have a few NSV posted in my journal about Yoga. But this one is my favorite:

Before I gained weight, Crow Pose was the only arm balancing yoga pose I could do. I was getting pretty good at it, but then I didn't have time to practice...blah, blah, blah. After I gained weight I couldn't get into the pose and the weight of my knees on my triceps KILLED.

After a few pounds gone and more practice...I am flying in Crow again, better than before and at a heavier weight big grin

Thanks happy
I'm the same way...I see a pose and think "eh, that can't be to hard" and then I try pretzeling myself into it and "dang!!" harder than I imagined. So fun to keep trying though wink

Amazing pic! I love crow pose - it felt like such a huge accomplishment when I could hold it for any length of time. I wonder if I can still do it lol. You and your crazy pretzel moves and crazy headstands! happy

RE: More Yoga :)
Soooo, kind of an odd question, but has anyone cried during yoga? I went to a hot free flow class yesterday. I've taken this guy's class once before and he's super cool, his class is challenging, I just love it. During Shavasana he is one where he likes to talk through it, and he was saying these beautiful things that were just... impactful. Anyway, I started the silent tears right on my mat and continued to cry off and on all the rest of the day. My husband was all "why are you crying?" and I'm trying to explain what a release it is and for him not to worry, but I was just completely overtaken for the day. Has anyone else had this happen?

RE: More Yoga :)
I've heard of others crying. I'm not much of an "emotional person"...except for last year after Neacko died. I've had epiphanies and euphoria. Or days where it helps me past my teariness...but it hasn't brought me to tears, yet. I'm not doubting that it could at some point. Just waiting for it happy

Something connected for you...or you found that sweet spot.

Congrats <3 and hugs!!

RE: More Yoga :)
Thanks for the hugs, Rhoda.

I think I stuff too much of my emotion down. Its been a really tumultuous year, lots of ups and lots of downs. Work was a much bigger part of my life too, and every single one of my peers and superiors that I spend a lot of time with, meetings with, etc is male. I'm fine with that (in fact, in many ways prefer it) and I have good friendships with many of them, but its not the same as crying on a girlfriend's shoulder, you know? Plus I spend a good time working with superiors, and needless to say crying is out there, lol.

Anyway, it just caught me offguard, and I think I'm still processing a lot of it today still. Its ok though - I think its all growth and healing and good things happy

RE: More Yoga :)
Agreed.

I've always been a "stuffer" as well. I work on trying to express myself more or dealing with emotions as they come, but I truly suck at it happy That's why I am just waiting for that "moment" on my mat. It's only a matter of time.

Since the accident last year, I've learned not to hold it in as much. I can't. My coping skills went down the tubes. And like you, I don't work with any females who are there for a shoulder. I spend my time being everyone else's problem solver. I don't even know how to express that I need someone to help or solve something for me.

Processing is good. It was probably just time for a "good cry". My sister usually gets the brunt of my good cries via text happy. After you process you will feel all light and refreshed again.

virtual shoulders work well too!! Feel free to vent happy
