Im new too!
ANyone good with meal plans or know of free meal plans sites? I was a victim of a trainers poor meal plans and low calories and I gained. When I say low, I mean 800.
Any help would be appreciated. I need to get up to either TDEE of 2106 or with small cut of 1890.

RE: Im new too!
I use MFP to input my meals and recipes. That helps me determine how much I eat in a day - I try to get at least 100 grams of protein (which is around the minimum I need at 145 lb), and then I work around that. I haven't given up on any sort of food or drink, which is the great thing about EM2WL - you aren't restricted. I don't know any other meal planner sites, but I do love Skinnytaste for her recipes (though I don't use low fat anything any longer - I replace her low-fat cheese/yogurt with the real stuff), along with A Year of Slow Cooking so I can cook larger meals to have throughout the week (or freeze them).

Good luck!

RE: Im new too!
Like mrsukyankee said, MFP is a great place to track your intake. If you just change your macro goals to 40% Carbs, 30% Protein and 30% Fat and make hitting that Protein goal your primary concern each day, everything else just naturally seems to fall into place. The great thing about EM2WL is that you don't have to have a meal plan ... try to make your food selections wisely, choosing whole, unprocessed foods when possible with the primary goal being to reach that protein goal.

If you are interested, EM2WL is on also on Pinterest and has many boards dedicated to recipe ideas, including High Protein, High Fiber, Clean Eating, Vegetarian, Slow Cooker Recipes and more! Check it out, if you haven't already: http://www.pinterest.com/em2wl/

RE: Im new too!
Not sure if those macros would be good for me with lack of gall bladder. My protein has to be pretty low. Thanks for the pinterest link! Following!

Anything question, when you are my age of 46, do I have to eat low carb to lose fat?

RE: Im new too!
No way - I drink beer, eat pasta, etc. and I've lost weight (right now just hanging out figuring out my maintenance). Unless you have certain issues, carbs are not a problem and certainly not for losing weight. It's about having a small (15% or less) deficit over time.

RE: Im new too!
Definitely. What you need to start eating are calorie dense foods and get your mind out of being on a DIET. What you are doing is prepping to eat for the rest of your life - do you want to never have pasta again? Unless you are suffering from celiac disease, gluten products are perfectly fine and actually really, really nutritious! I eat chocolate, red meat, fish, pasta...here's today:

Breakfast - cereal with semi-skimmed milk, two coffees with same milk
Lunch - homemade sourdough bread with tuna salad, lots of cottage cheese, a banana
Dinner - homemade beef stew with tagliatelli and chocolate for desert

This equalled around 1950 calories, and my goal is around 2400 (as I'm trying to get determine my true TDEE).

And I didn't even eat all the calories that I have available because tomorrow night I'm hosting a cheese & wine party so I wanted extra calories. I'm all about the food - I will never again eat anything that is 'diet food' unless I really like the taste (such as diet coke which I have once in a grand while). I try to get in at least 100 grams of protein every day and usually end up with more.

RE: Im new too!
@mrsukyankee, do you only eat three meals?
here is what I had today which is ALOt more than normal

2 slices of turkey bacon, 1/2 cup oatmeal and .5 cup of almond milk
snack- apple and tbsp of PB
lunch was a wrap with 2oz turkey, guacomole, lettuce, onion and pickles
snack yogurt with granola and strawberries
dinner 3oz chicken, 2 slices of cheese mixed with 1/2 cup of brown rice and 1 cup of califlower and 15 almonds

This came to 1600 calories total

I normally ate 1100 calories

By the way, I thought your calves are amazing! My calves are my best asset

I do have an appointment with dietican because I am not sure, really, how to even eat anymore. I have been told dont eat fruit, dairy, gluten, soy
I have this god awful inflammation and no one seems to know why. I wonder if I can give myself food intolerances from not eating enough.

After 1600 I am still hungry!

I just feel so lost!
