Journey On!

RE: Journey On!
I don't think you should have kept increasing your calories as the scale went up? You may have surpassed your TDEE, like you said. So, bright side, your body should be ready to cut. And remember, 2 weeks of cut doesn't necessarily mean you'll see changes. If you read my journal, I waited weeks before anything happened.

Hi Emma,

Thanks for your reply. It has been advised on this forum and in the instructions page to redo your TDEE with every 5 pound gain/loss. Even so, I agree with you. I believe I surpassed TDEE and I also know I ate that way for 12 weeks. Yes, I am being patient right now regarding weight loss. I will weigh/measure this Saturday and see how it goes.

Thanks for your feedback.

Louise

RE: Journey On!
Hello All,

Did anyone out there have problems accessing Myfitnesspal website this week? I couldn't log in for several days. Seems to back up today (or maybe yesterday as I didn't check).

This morning was weigh in and measurement day.

I didn't lose at all nor did I gain. However, waist measurement is down from 34 1/2 to 33 inches. Navel measurement is down 2 1/2 inches, thighs down 1/2 inch. All other measurements are the same.

So, I am at a 10% cut (TDEE 2100) working out in my new home gym doing STS Meso 1, and rowing 2 times a week.

School is over (straight A's happy and I am no longer a slave to an academic schedule. I am going to post my timeline weighin/measurements next.

I'm just going to keep moving onward and stay at 10% cut.

Thanks
Louise

RE: Journey On!
Actually, I am pleased with the progress. I will just keep doing what I'm doing and believe that it is just going to keep happening as it should.

Thanks ladies!

RE: Journey On!
Well I am heading off to Aruba on Monday and have started putting some clothes together. I could use some feedback/advice. Here's what I'm doing:

1. Loving myself regardless.
2. Bought some loose fitting cotton skirts and tops and a swim suit that is comfortable, yet fun.
3. Reminding myself the em2wl journey is not just about fat. It's about loving myself enough to eat healthy so my body can function ideally.

Any thoughts on how to stay positive when, often, all I see are fit, thin, lean people in places like Aruba and the beach?

I want to arm myself with the proper tools to continue some great self-care.

Thanks
Louise

RE: Journey On!
You won't see just thin, lean people at the beach. There will be people of all sizes and you should celebrate their bodies and confidence in being themselves. You should also celebrate all the hard work you have put into getting fit and eating a healthy way. And finally - frickin' focus on just having fun and enjoying sun & surf. Seriously - your body will allow you to have fun and THAT is awesome.
