Let's EAT!!!

RE: Let's EAT!!!
OMG, I'm HUNGRY!!! Not just "oh, it's time for a meal" hungry. More like "GIVE ME SOME FOOD NOW!" hungry. And this is every few hours. It makes me really glad that I changed my MFP food diary to times rather than meals a few months ago. I find it easier to keep track of not only how much I'm eating, but when as well.

It almost seems like as soon as I ate breakfast, the feasting began and had to continue. I'm feeling a serious overshooting of calories coming on today. I don't think 2100 is going to cut it. (Much like the rest of this week.)

RE: Let's EAT!!!
Remember, nothing you are doing here is irreversible... If you start seeing gains with a 200 calorie increase, you can always back it off by 100 and see what happens (with the idea in the back of your head that your ultimate goal will be to push it higher again, once you stabilize.) Don't worry and stress, because that stress can de-rail you too. Just relax and enjoy the foodz! laughing

RE: Let's EAT!!!
As I'm making dinner tonight...a very healthy dinner, I might add....I find myself trying to do portion control. No, no, that's too much rice. COME ON, it's the only calorie heavy thing on my plate! I'm having rice mixed with cauliflower and broccoli, topped with broiled cod. Yes, I do like to add some butter to my rice.

I pull out the half cup measuring cup, poised to measure. HELL NO, I pull out the 1 cup measuring cup and say out loud (no one is home but me!) I'M STARVING, I'M GOING TO EAT!

So, I'm going to eat. And once again, if I'm over 2100... I. Don't. Care.

Wow you have had an amazing journey so far. With the reset the one thing I have learned the hard way is take your time...there is no rush, the longer you take, the better. I am so proud of you for doing this. You will face many ups and downs but I promise you this will be the best thing you EVER do!!! If you need help i am here for you. My user name on MFP is the same here

No old roads lead to new destinations.

RE: Let's EAT!!!
Had that OMG moment as the scale fluctuated back upwards this morning. My brain kicked in to hyper-analyze mode: calories in, calories out, time I ate, workout completed. Whoa, brain, take a break. It's like it has a switch...a panic switch. Fluctuation is normal. I don't have to analyze the hell out of every little change.

Just keep moving forward. Eat some breakfast, do some chores, do my last strength workout of the week, maybe a little yoga. Chill. And if you're hungry....eat!

RE: Let's EAT!!!
Step off the scale....the single best thing I did/do during the journey. It doesn't matter. And it fluctuates so much. It's never really accurate at all. I'd weigh monthly if I wasn't still going to WW.

RE: Let's EAT!!!
I think I will be able to step off the scale once I begin my reset, but right now I'm keeping a close eye on it find my TDEE. If I didn't see the fluctuations throughout the week, I would feel that I was at my TDEE already. I'm pretty sure that I'm not.

I am actually looking forward to the reset beginning so I can ease my way off that lying device!

Thanks, Emma! I'm glad you wrote. I'm working my way through the journals and I am currently reading yours. I'm only up to March so far, but expect to see regular posts on your journal once I'm finished reading it!

RE: Let's EAT!!!
So, some chocolate icing and I had a little encounter. After logging it, I was concerned about only having 700 calories left. Then I smiled and thought: nope, my average this week has been 2350 and I have had no gains. I can do 900-1000 more today with NO PROBLEM!
