Whey Protein Powder
Hi all,
I've discovered that to meet my protein goals it really helps to have a protein shake for those crazy days. I am looking for a whey protein powder that doesn't have a bunch of artificial ingredients and doesn't cost a million $$. I have a family of 6 and the kids like to have a fruit/protein smoothie in the morning and it is an easy way to get some protein in them to start their school day on the right foot. Obviously we could easily go through a can of protein powder quickly. We have used Trader Joe's brand but it went fast.

Any suggestions?

Protizyme Peanut Butter Cookie Flavor. It is not the cheapest, but it is by far the best tasting protein powder I have tried, and it doesn't upset my stomach at all. A HUGE 5 pound tub (like 16 inches tall) lasts me for-ev-er and costs about $60 and if you get it on Amazon the shipping is free. I never use anything else. Mmmmm peanut butter cookies :-)

RE: Whey Protein Powder
I've gotten the Whey Protein from a local community store which I think they package under their name. It's called "Show me the Whey". I find chocolate is the best. We get it under the PCC brand but I've noticed on MFP under the Sprouts brand. I'm sure any community / Whole Food like local store might sell this whey product.

They have good levels of protein in their powders and they aren't super expensive. I believe they ship to many different countries (I'm in England)

RE: Whey Protein Powder
Boooooo for peanut allergies. I have tried the Vanilla Cake one and it was really good too. I love that it's easy to dissolve and tastes great. I even mix some in my coffee and also in plain Greek yogurt with frozen berries on top for dessert.... I was just on Amazon and noticed they now have a Butter Pecan Cookie flavor?? Holy cow, that will be my next one to try. I haven't' tried the Chocolate or Strawberry yet, just because the others are so good...

I have been using the Lean Shake from GNC. Reasonable price and they have sales plus a discount card program. Using the Berry right now. I mix with almond milk and frozen blueberries using a stick blender. Yummy!
