Taking my time through this process

RE: Taking my time through this process
Isn't it funny how we become so possessive over each and every calorie? Once we get them we certainly don't want to have to give them up. And suddenly those 8 week cuts get decreased to 6. Or maybe 5........ laughing

If you are feeling hungry just really try to concentrate on getting in your protein as that will make you feel fuller longer. Also maybe increase your fiber intake a bit and throw lots of extra veggies into everything. And, of course, with that you will need some additional water. Bumping those three things up should help to make you feel fuller. Also, especially while cutting, make sure to keep those processed, pre-packaged foods to a minimum. Normally they are not very satiating and you will most likely find yourself hungrier after eating them.

Thanks Anitra! I'll definitely do what you suggested with focusing on protein. It's been tough for me to get more than 100 grams in (I weigh around 138) because I'm vegetarian. I rely a lot on eggs and greek yogurt, protein powder in the morning. Hopefully that's enough even though I'm not hitting the exact number...

Are you on Pinterest? We have one board on there specifically dedicated to Vegetarian Recipe Ideas, and lots of them are quite high in protein. There are also a few things pinned on there which show the various Meatless Protein Sources (sometimes I forget how much protein can be found in some vegetable sources..).

I am also a vegetarian (although I do eat fish on occasion) and often look there for inspiration. In fact looking there right now just made me crave a Kale and Goat Cheese pizza!

Thanks Anitra! I will definitely check out that link. I'm thinking of whipping up some protein balls that I can snack on incase I need a little protein boost at the end of the day.

Cutting is so hard!! I didn't expect it to be so challenging. I'm so used to never feeling hungry. I'm getting through it but it's not fun Sad

RE: Taking my time through this process
Just keep thinking fiber and protein and steer clear of processed foods when possible. Always look for the most filling options.

On the Pinterest board dedicated to High Protein Recipe ideas there are some protein bar and ball ideas.
