4 lb loss in the first week???
The scale says I'm down 4 lbs my first week of my cut. This is after a 4 month reset. I kept track of my calorie burn and my weekly average was consistently 2400-2500 throughout my reset (according to my Fitbit with HRM for lifting), so my cut value was 2000. My workouts did not change at all (3 dates of heavy lifting for 60 mins, 2 days of cardio (kickboxing) for 60 mins. The only thing I did was drop my cals and clean up my diet (took out refined sugar). This seems really off to me. I was hoping for a 1 lb loss but 4???? Where is this loss coming from?

My guess is that it is water weight. Quick loss and quick gain is always water weight. Taking out sugar will do that as you have lowered your carbs.

Yep^^^ Quick losses (and quick gains) are always water weight. Just make sure you are keeping that deficit small (15%) and keep up the great work! Those losses will slow down and then will more likely be fat rather than water as you move forward. Just keep that deficit as small as you can to try to help hold on to that hard-earned muscle!
