emtwl beginning strength manual
I have been doing the beginner strength program in the em2wl beginner strength manual and I have a question. For each phase there is a four week schedule that tells you what to do on each workout day, whether exercise day 1, 2 or 3. The schedule has alternating weeks of 2 days upper, one day lower, and then 2 days lower and one day upper. But in the log pages, it has 2 days lower and 1 day upper each week. Which is correct?

thank you,

I am enjoying the program so far. Ready to start week 5.

Lenora

I will check into this, but off the top of my head the program sounds correct.

Maybe I can phrase my question better. The outlined program and training logs do not match. For instance on page 40, you have the first phase of the program outlined. Then on page 52, which is the training log for week 2 of phase 1, it is different from week 2 on page 40. On page 40 it says to do day 2, day 1, day 2 for week 2. But on page 52, it says to do day1, day 2, day 3, for week 2. Which is it? And would you consider making corrected training logs available?

thanks!

I am forwarding your comments to Kiki and will have her look into this as soon as possible (my guess is she is under a few feet of snow right now...) And yes, absolutely if anything is corrected it will be made available.

Three feet? Wow, suddenly my 13 inches seems so insignificant! Stay safe and I will get back to you as soon as I hear back.

RE: emtwl beginning strength manual
Here is Kiki's response re: the training logs. Hope this helps...

The schedule is "correct."

The logs are just logs not a schedule. You just print the one that you need for that day (we included EVERY log under each week, because they own the program & it can be repeated after the original progression schedule - as desired)

Think about Cathe workout cards for Xtrain. They can be printed off individually, in or out of order. They are just labeled for ease of access. Not for order of use. You follow one of several schedules as desired, or pick and choose yourself. (In our case Day 3 is simply the "name" of the workout, and we give one of each for each week)

ok, i get it. It just makes it a little more complicated when trying to just keep a log the way it is formatted. Also, just one more little formatting suggestion, for some exercises there is not enough room to really write down all your sets and reps. Might want to consider putting in some more spaces.

Thanks! I love the book and program and am so thankful for all the hard work you all have put into it.

Stay warm!
