well, instead of bitching and whining about gaining weight for the last few weeks, I guess I'll expound on the "strength gains" comment you made before:
today's PRs in... deadlifting: 165 pounds (5 single lifts--increase of 20 pounds)
...one arm rows: 50 pounds (3 sets of 5--increase of 15 pounds)
...squats: 85 pounds (4 sets of 7---increase of 15 pounds) (I haven't had my squat rack very long so I'm still getting the hang of it)
...farmer carries: 90 pounds--increase of 90 pounds!! LOL ...I just added it to my routine a couple weeks ago...
Not too bad for a lady that couldn't lift a cup of coffee without pain 2 years ago.

I'm just so completely SICK of this extra fat.... I've got some fairly nice muscle
but it's totally hidden under layers. When will the shrinking start?
(ok. ....whining finished---just had to get it off my chest)

Well, it sounds like you are doing great with the workouts!! Well done! The shrinking will come after the reset process once you are able to take a small cut and eat at a deficit. But first, you need to get up to your TDEE and then hang there for a few months. In the meantime, this is the perfect opportunity to put n some muscle. Just don't rush the process --- you are doing great!!

Just venting...ya'll can ignore if you'd like...
a fella at church: "I noticed that your face isn't as thin as awhile ago" and proceeded to tell me "what worked for me" in his
latest weight loss attempt. As if I'd asked for his dammed advice!! When he got to the "I just ate less and my stomach
shrank" and "I also walked 10 minutes twice a day" I almost cold-cocked him in the nose! AS IF I HADN'T TRIED THAT 50 TIMES AND IT GOT ME TO THE MISERABLE STATE I'M IN TODAY!!! I guess I sit around all day and stuff my face with anything not nailed down and
the hour a day that I workout is just my imagination!
Besides for the fact that he's MALE and light years away from the hormonal challenges of a female body--he also has NO freaking
clue how I've been busting my ass for 2+ YEARS!
I haven't been so mad that I cried in a really L.O.N.G. time...but I cried today.

awww virtual hugs to you. I just can't understand why people feel the need to offer their unsolicited opinion on anything but especially someone's weight/body. Typically I think it is some type of insecurity on their part. Sometimes it is just good to cry and release and cleanse. Other times it is good to just "cold-clock" someone...clearly you took a different (and probably better) approach. :-)

I really hope you don't let one idiot's comments cause you to doubt yourself - you seem to be on the right path for what is good for you and what makes you feel good - remember those strength gains - you are awesome!!

Thanks Jdnara and Anitra! I've told a lot of people that "I wish I looked as good on the outside as I feel on the inside"...folks can't SEE any difference but I FEEL hugely different!
I'm reminded of a meme I saw recently:
"Women who carry an extra ?? pounds of body fat tend to live longer than the man who mentions it!" LOL!

wow! I haven't checked in since May!!
I guess if I'd had amazing news, I'd have posted it---for now it's the same old, same old.
Still lifting. Still eating (YUM! lol) Some days are "eat days" and I hit my numbers easily and
other days are a struggle to get close....I hope they average out a little.
Since my calorie # can be "just close" (I have paid special attention to my
protein so that's not too bad), I've allowed myself additional time to finish
my reset....it should have been done the middle/end of June but, considering I'd been eating
so little off and on for apx 10 years, I doubt a little more time will kill me. (or am I wrong?....
please correct me if I am!!)
My scale and I continue to be at odds so we're not speaking.
