Scaryann1's battle with eating and EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome)

RE: Scaryann1's battle with eating and EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome)
I have to relate the story of my great niece. For the last three or so days my knees have been fighting me, they don't want to stay in place. One of the ways that I put them back is to stand up, lift my foot off the floor and snap my leg forward. You can actually hear it pop back in sometimes. Well I did this last night and my great niece saw me. Next thing I know she is walking across my Dad's kitchen floor (most of the family meet at my Dad's house on Thursday nights) snapping her leg like I just did to put my knee back in. I had to laugh because she is just so cute. She just turned one on March 3rd.

I have two nieces and three nephews. Last year they added four babies to our family! Two girls (two of my nephews and their spouses) and two boys (both of my nieces and their spouses). She is the oldest of the four babies.

RE: Scaryann1's battle with eating and EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome)
Weight = 281.4
Down-3.4 pounds

Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) = 1875
Daily calories to maintain weight (TDEE) = 2343
Average calories = 2193 Got that number up this week!!!

Weight - April 286 pounds / Today 281.4 pounds -4.6 pounds
Calf- April 20.5 inches / Today 19.25 inches - 1.25 inches
Thigh- April 30 inches / Today 27.75 inches - 2.25 inches
Hips - April 58 inches /Today 56.25 inches - 1.75 inches
Abdomen - April 51 inches / Today 48 inches - 3 inches
Waist - April 48 inches / Today 46 inches - 2 inches
Forearm - April 13 inches / Today 12. 25 inches - .75 inches

I didn't really have a goal this week other than take it easy because my knees wouldn't stay in. I didn't even do any lifting and I refused to allow myself to get down about it. I figure my arms needed the break. It's been in the high 80's here in the Southerntier of Western NY so I have been able to get lots of water in, boy did that make a difference!

What an inspiring story! Yes, I do know that feeling about waking up with a flatter, thinner body. Isn't it a great feeling? Good luck to you and your journey!

RE: Scaryann1's battle with eating and EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome)
Awesome day today! Got in a round of lifting my measly 4 pounds in, pulled some weeds in my flower garden, made lunch and dinner, and now to go wash the dishes.

I tried to add a picture of my pretty pink walking crutches, but the pictures don't want to insert. Maybe the next post. don't know

This is a "bad" day. On a "good" day I can touch toe to heel, heel to toe.

And now they work...LOL

RE: Scaryann1's battle with eating and EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome)
Here's this week's update

Weight = 281
Down-.4 pounds

Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) = 1873
Daily calories to maintain weight (TDEE) = 2341
Average calories = 1999

Weight - April 286 pounds / Today 281 pounds - 5 pounds
Calf- April 20.5 inches / Today 19.25 inches - 1.25 inches
Thigh- April 30 inches / Today 27.75 inches - 2.25 inches
Hips - April 58 inches /Today 56.25 inches - 1.75 inches
Abdomen - April 51 inches / Today 48 inches - 3 inches
Waist - April 48 inches / Today 46 inches - 2 inches
Forearm - April 13 inches / Today 12 inches - 1 inches

Somehow I knew from the start of the week that I would struggle getting the calories up to where they were last week, but that's okay, no more worrying about getting them "just right." This week's biggest change was in the forearm! Another 1/4 inch gone from it! I'm actually a bit surprised that I was down that .4 pound because it's TOM again. Trust me I'm not gonna complain about it. LOL
