I had a feeling that different levels of hydration from one weigh-in to the next could account for the differences.

I am currently lifting on machines at the gym 3 times per week with one 60-minute HIIT session per week with a trainer. I have NROLFW at home, which I'm reading through now, and will probably start their program, as I realize that compound lifts will accomplish more than lifting on a machine. I am also considering the EM2WL starter program...have you used either? I'd welcome any suggestions/feedback! : )

I haven't used either of those. I started with strong lifts and later did em2wl's compound circuits, surge, evolve, and true strength.

Sorry for typos- on mobile!

Will do! I'm going to start a journal, as soon as I get a good chunk of free time! Wish I had done that from day 1...oh well, better late than never! Do I just start a new thread under the Motivation/Personal Journals section, or is there a specific place for journals?

RE: New and HUNGRY!!!
That's the place! It's helpful to be able to look back on trends, or things you were thinking at the time, etc.

Okay, I've started my journal...totally makes sense to record what's going on, as it's going on. Thanks, Jc-wt!
