RE: Getting back to me... Toki's Journal
Stick to the 2800 Toki, just sit there a while longer. Brush away the daily thoughts of not keeping it consistent! Consistency is the key, like Hanna said, our bodies like predictability, it's important to keep the routine.

Oh I know the feeling of needing to DO something. Consistency isn't my friend. We're trying to get back together now. We're adjusting. LOL Hang in there. You'll be happy you were consistent. Then you'll know.

Overall weight gain: 136.4 (4 july) - 146.2 = 9.8 pounds

So this morning after weigh in I had a freak out and decided to lower my cals to 2700 because I remember being steady at that cal goal. I then wanted to go straight to a cut of 2600 because I am sick of gaining weight abd my thighs are starting to really rub when I walk. Then I changed it to lose a pound a week on MFP. This was all on my walk to work!

This afternoon I decided to chart my cals eaten against my weight and I realised that I don't have a section of more than 2 weeks where I am eating the same amount of cals.

So now I have changed it back to 2900 cals - let's see if I can leave it there for 2 weeks making it a full month eating the same before I try and change anything.

Hi there Toki! I am browsing your journal to see everyone's else's journeys and I notice that you burn A LOT of calories a day....what do you do to stay so active? When I started this process, I cut my cardio (running) out and so I am lifting 3 days a week with intervals right after I finish. I am just curious what others are doing. :-)

RE: Getting back to me... Toki's Journal
Hi Teachertoo,

Hope the reset is going well! I haven't cut out my cardio but I have reduced it a lot! I now run 5K 2-3 times a week, a weighted circuit work out 2-3 days/week and I walk to and from work (approx 2.5 miles each way). I used to run between 10-15K just on weekends as well as all the above and a couple for ballet fit and rebounders (aerobic on a trampoline) classes! My calorie burn is pretty high due to how much I walk, I walk everywhere! averaging between 15,000-22,000 steps a day.

For me running is a base like breathing, I have always run so I try not to take into account the calorie burn from this as my body is probably used to it by now.

Hope that's useful!

So Toki, it's been almost a month since dropping to 2800. How are things going?
