If you see 4 or more weeks of a gradual increase, then maybe you are over TDEE. The thing is, you may need to be okay with seeing that 150 number again. Even when you think you've reached TDEE, you will want to test it by going over it, which means gaining some weight in the process. Easier said than done!

By the way, the other day I stepped on the scale and it said 150.4. I was like, whaaat? Then I stepped on 2 more times and got 148.6 or so. I guess it was just a fluke, but it's funny how that number seems scary to me too!

Hang in there and see what happens!

Hanging in! :-) Thanks!

Today I'm back down a little - 148.8. Both Happy Scale and The Hacker's Diet show a steady upward trend, though. Anyway, I don't feel as panicky as I did a week ago, and I'm sticking to 2100 to see what happens next.

Starting weight 11-21 - 144
Past 2 weeks
1-04 148
1-05 148.2
1-06 147.2
1-07 148.2
1-08 148
1-09 147.4
1-10 148.2
1-11 148.2
1-12 149
1-13 148-8
1-14 148.6
1-15 148.6
1-16 149.4
1-17 148.8

BMR - 1271
TDEE - 2192 9 (@ Strenuous)
Calorie average past week - 2069
Began 2100/day on 1-11 (ave 2108 since then)

I am cheering for you! Your weight is stable how amazing is that? I so happy for you (picture a cheering cheerleader). How many weeks have you been at 2100? It is a few weeks isn't it? Do you think you are ready to try 2200 soon? I believe in you.

Not feeling as panicky is an amazing NSV! Being able to relax and actually see that it will be fine, that things will keep going without freaking out is a huge accomplishment! Your weight is pretty stable, given some fluctuation. Sticking to 2100 a bit more is a great plan!

Thanks! I've only been at 2100 for 8 days. I think I'll wait a bit longer before raising the bar. :-)

148.8 again this morning, so holding pretty steady at 2100. I'm thinking I should stay at 2100 another week or so, although I have to say it's tempting to push on, given that my average weight for the past week is so close to where I started the week and landed today. Thoughts, anyone?

RE: Eat, Play, Write
Good for you! I would say maybe give it 2-4 weeks total, before going up in cals. But I'm leaning towards taking things slowly if you can, based on my own past experience.

I would give it another week and take it from there, take as much time as you can possibly.

That's what we are here for, we all need advice. I wonder what this week will bring? How do you feel about possibility going to 2200 calories?
