Some of you are already there - how is it? :-)

So I have been eating essentially when hungry, neither cutting nor pushing myself to hit any particular calorie count. I am tracking, and my average for the past week is just under my estimated TDEE. I've adjusted my macros - 25-30 P, 25-30 C, 40-40 F - and feel MUCH better - more energy, no cravings, good appetite but very satisfied between meals/snacks.

Reset/TDEE search Nov-Jan;
Jan-April calorie range 2011-2308; weight range 148.9-->156.8
Chill through May & June -- no weigh-ins, ate what I pleased
July - Sept -- calories 1750-2000; weight bounced between 150-153
Sept - Start 4-week cut -- calories 1660-1756; weight 150.8-->149.8
10/22-10/28 - average calories 1848, ave wt 149.6
Oct - Start cut
Date -- Sun weight -- ave calories
11/5 -- 149 -- 1697
11/12 -- 148.2 -- 1703
11/19 - 147.8 -- 1698

Hi all! So, I decided to stop kidding myself and acknowledge that at the moment, and for the past couple of months, I'm not getting my usual exercise. I recalculated my TDEE & BMR with the EM2WL calculator and got 1540/1283 respectively. I've rounded up to 1600 TDEE since I'm not completely couch-bound.

I haven't really been aiming for any particular calorie count, but find I'm very satisfied with the higher fat/lower carb ratio and am naturally eating a little less. This past week I averaged 1500 calories and hit 25/30/45 P/C/F and I'm down a little. I'm going to stick with this for a while and see what happens. The weather is utter crap here and I don't want to join a gym since we're moving in 6 weeks, so I'm just accepting that, for now, I'm not that physically active. I'll recalc everything after we get settled and I get moving again.

Looks like you are still doing really well Sheila - and you are listening to your body and its needs. I agree that we can be peer pressured into eating too much just as easily as we can be to eat too little. There is just so much information out there now - "eat this" "don't eat that" and so much conflicting information. If we are able to truly listen to our body that is probably the best guide - our body speaks - we just have to be truly receptive.

Hi all! I'm still just eating and not aiming for particular calories. Ended up about 10% below my estimated TDEE - not intentional, but I felt very satisfied. It's the fat, I'm sure. This past week I averaged 1449 calories and hit 25/30/45 P/C/F and I'm down again. I did get two hour-long walks around the mall in, so that's a plus. I hope to do more this week, plus I'm starting to sort, pack, donate, and dispose in prep for moving (5 weeks!) - amazing how much accumulates in a few months.

Those numbers are looking pretty good! It looks like you are on your way back to 144 but hopefully with more muscle now. wink
You are doing really well with such consistent macros and it looks like it is working so well for you.

Hi all! I continue to eat without aiming for particular calories. This past week I averaged 1553 calories and hit 25/30/45 P/C/F . Weight steady. I've revised my estimated TDEE.
