Starting weight 2/23/17: 197.9
Today's Weight 3/16/17: 196.8
Goal Calories per day: 2350
Avg calories eaten (Thurs-Wednesday): 2650 (had higher activity than normal last week due to a power outage)

New goal: 2450 per day minimum with extra on any really heavy activity/workout days

Still having a lot of tiredness, but workouts are easy, my appetite is back, and I haven't felt the urge to binge or chow down in a while. I am also craving less sweets, maybe because when I want something I just eat it or maybe because I am eating enough protein and good calories and my body is happy. Heartburn is still an issue, but I am narrowing that down right now it appears to be from coffee (*cry* I love my morning coffee).

Trendweight went from saying I was 300 calories over (after the first week) per day down down to being only 6 calories over per day (as of today). Let see what happens over this next week.

Kelly

Sounds like you're doing great! I had to cut back on coffee a couple years ago, so I feel your pain.

RE: Kelly's Journal
It sucks when we need to cut down on the coffee... same thing here.

Yes, buy increasing the protein intake you are basically crowding out the other macros. Also it will make you feel fuller which combined with the fact that if you want something you are just eating it will decrease binges and cravings. Win-win, yay!

RE: Kelly's Journal
I bet the less cravings for sweets is because you are getting enough calories now. I've read that when we're low on energy, we crave sweets because they are quick energy. Sounds like you are doing great!

RE: Kelly's Journal
So my official weekly check-in is tomorrow, but I got my MFP weekly report in email yesterday and realized that I am still eating ~2600 calories avg per day and not gaining... That means I need to bump my activity level up between moderate and strenuous activity on the calculator. Full details tomorrow happy

RE: Kelly's Journal
Week 4 Check in.

Fitbit TDEE: 2300
EM2WL: Strenous TDEE: 2750
MFP TDEE (no exercise): 2510
Actual Calories: 2680 avg per day.

Starting weight 197.8
Today's weight 197.8
Yesterday 196.8
No actual gain - still bouncing around a lot per week with water weight depending on how much sugar I eat close to bed time (ate a brownie right before bed yesterday LOL).

Trendweight now says I am burning 125 cal more per day than I eat (which would put me right about 2800. On the EM2WL Calculator is Strenuous activity level for me is 2750).

So time to go up again. Going to push up to about 2750 per day this week and see what happens. The amount I can eat is shocking to me. Need to work a little more on getting all my protein - have been sitting at about 25% instead of my 30% goal.

Fitbit is so totally wrong about my TDEE and I find I am happy about that. I love that food is no longer the enemy and I can indulge and enjoy.

Biggest NSV so far is how much energy I have for my workouts. I feel great during class and I am almost never ready to be done once class is finished. I even added in an extra class last night that was a special tricks and kicks class and I must have done 30 Cartwheels and I STILL felt great afterward (other than a few sore joints - but I have arthritis from a 10 year battle with Lyme disease so that is expected). I have not had this much energy and endurance in 20 years.

RE: Kelly's Journal
Kelly, cartwheels? I couldn't do them as kid! I'm jealous now!

Isn't it actually nice so see that we can EAT?! That we don't need to live eating like birds? I love that part! And we don't realize how much energy and stamina we miss from not eating enough until we eat more. Can I share your NSV with the fam?
