RE: Kelly's Journal
I just noticed I was posting on your thread on MFP the other day when Ichel was on break, hehe!

Who would believe that sticking to 2500 is so hard, right? After a chill phase without logging I'm logging again and it is hard to stay in my 2500, seriously! I believe that at this point 2500 gives me a small deficit, which is fine since I've been eating at or above TDEE for the last 4 months or so, but dang, feels like so little food for me!

RE: Kelly's Journal
I know! I maxed out and 2750ish which ended up being above my TDEE *cry*. and 2500 does seem low! On top of that my weekdays are closer to 22-2300 because of my over indulgence on the weekends!

Oh and yes I changed my MFP name so people would know it was me in both places big grin

RE: Kelly's Journal
Week 9 check in (reposted from MFP):

Fitbit TDEE: 2505
EM2WL Moderate TDEE: 2501
MFP Base: 2240 MFP TDEE (With exercise): 2477
Daily goal last week: 2550
Actual Calories eaten avg per day:2537

Starting Weight: 197.8
Last week 203.4
Today's weight 205.4 (Should be valid - may show monthly water weight gain). I do have inches around stomach and hips gained as well so it is for sure not muscle LOL

This weeks Calorie goal 2300 (10% cut) May just do TDEE again depending on how hungry I am. Will be having a lower TDEE over the next 4 weeks and I might want o live it up this week LOL.

My other (probably more important) goal is to not go over 2600 on Saturday or Sunday and to stay in my MFP calories allowed (base plus exercise) on Friday. I was able to do the Friday goal last week but still blew it on Sat and Sunday and had to cut the rest of the week to make up for it (not fun!). So I am hoping to be able to eat more every day and less on Sat and Sunday.

I will be having surgery next week, so I will go back up to TDEE then (which will be a lot lower and probably will mean going down, hopefully my body has adjusted enough to what it needs and I will not be starving all of the time until I get used to lower calories.

Kelly

RE: Kelly's Journal
I will be off bodyweight exercises and Martial arts for 4 weeks. I can start with walking and easy stuff after 2 weeks (pain permitting). Its a robotic assisted surgery so it is supposedly much faster healing. I may be able to do limited martial arts class with no running and no power movements starting in week 3.

All I know is I will behave and do what my doc tells me since I want this surgery to work and last big grin

Take your time and don't rush the healing process. Consider it an investment wink

RE: Kelly's Journal
Had some major surgery last Wednesday. I actually feel like eating at TDEE and higher protein really helped my body be ready for it. So for now I am not tracking or cutting - just eating when I am hungry, walking to help speed up healing and resting a lot. I know I am low on protein so going to work on getting that back up. Not weighing either. Today is the first day I feel a bit better. Yesterday was horrible. I will probably get back on tracking today with MFP tracking, since I am feeling up to doing things. I have some other stuff to do too so maybe not. Either way I do not feel guilt or pressure big grin

RE: Kelly's Journal
That's the way to do it. Be gentle with yourself, give your body time to heal and recover! Once you feel better, you will be ready to get back to it and smash your goals!
