Joy In The Journey

RE: Joy In The Journey
You've already gotten some awesome advice Sunshine, so I will just agree with what Yas and kcmsmith said!

I definitely get puffy (or sometimes I just feel puffy but I'm not actually that swollen) around my TOM. And the water weight could easily be if you've increased your carbs (yup, even good carbs).

Like kcmsmith suggested, make sure you're getting enough food that will actually satisfy. Usually we reach for easy food when our bodys are demanding more food (chocolate, chips, etc.) but this only supplies calories and no fiber, protein, micronutrients, etc. so we are left unsatisfied. Make sure you are eating large, balanced meals of 'real' food. I'm not saying to not eat chocolate and chips lol, but if you have a block of chocolate of 500 cals for lunch, instead of a meal of potato/tofu/veggie dish with a square of chocolate that adds up 500 kcals, you will most likely not be satisfied.

Water weight, why do we fear it so much?! But there's a reason for it: http://eatmore2weighless.com/water-weight-gain/

RE: Joy In The Journey
Great advice guys thanks!

Right now I am laying in bed with a stomach virus. Yup. Got sick late last night. Can't eat or drink anything right now, and I'm wondering where to go from here? Like tomorrow or the next day, should I just go right back up to 2,000 calories? That's probably a weird question, but just thought I'd ask it happy

RE: Joy In The Journey
First focus on healing and getting better. Make sure to stay hydrated. Once you are back to normal, go right back up to where you were. Hope you feel better soon!

Yes on bloating! Funny thing is that it doesn't happen every month. Also I've noticed that having a cold made me hold so much water recently, that it wasn't even funny! Also depending on your workouts you will see changes since muscle need water to repair. If you need, increase your water intake. More protein needs more water.

RE: Joy In The Journey
I have another question!!
So, now that I am allowed all these calories, I tend to use them up all during the day.. and have very little left at night. Even if I just ate like a 700 calorie lunch, I'll still munch on more food because I want to big grin For instance, right now it's 5:00 pm and I'm at 2,000 for the day (consisted of a sandwich, 3 pieces of fruit, vegetables, yogert, protein milkshake, egg whites, bread, crackers, and... 2 chocolate chip cookies and a random frozen waffle with a bit of butter on it happy dance ) Any advice on what to do?
