Exercise substitutes
Finished reading the BSTM last night. I have a left knee issue that is improving but I'm being careful not to screw things up. Are there good substitutes for bench step ups??

Hey Jason!
You could definitely shoot for lunges. Static, reverse or forward. The reverse lunges tend to be gentler on your knees. Try and see how it feels. Other option is to do using a step, not a bench.

Hey! Will absolutely give those variations a try. I think the knee proba are from running-- when I hit goal I started and after two 5k races my right knee started popping on leg extensions...grrr. I guess I have old knees now. Lol

Also knee pain can be a related to IT Band tightness. Look for a foam roller at your gym and use it after the workouts.
