Reading from where you left off
I know this can be done, because it is done on another forum I frequent with this same program, but I have no idea how it is done..

Can you make it so when you open a thread you have read before, it takes you to the last post you read, rather than opening at the beginning. Its a PITA to have to keep clicking on the page number and then scrolling down to the bottom to find out where you left off in your reading, so it would be nice just to jump to where you last read so all you are concerned about are the new posts in the thread.

Make sense?

RE: Reading from where you left off
If you click on "last post" (next to the name of the person who has most recently posted on the far right side) instead of the actual thread name, it will take you to the most recent post.

You should also be able to click on the actual post title from the main page and they should take you to the last post in that thread

IDK if that helps?

RE: Reading from where you left off
Yes, but I dont neccessarily want the last post.. I want the last post I read.. KWIM?

So while clicking on the last post definitely gets me closer, if I am reading a thread that has say 15 new posts since the last time I readt it, I want to pick up where I left off.. not having to scroll back up to find it... Make sense?

RE: Reading from where you left off
Yep, I get it. wink

When I choose the second option shown, it typically takes me to the last one that *I* read, not necessarily the "last" post.

You may wanna try it and see? Confused

RE: Reading from where you left off
that one does, but the only thing with that way is its only good for the last thread posted in that particular group, so it doesnt do any good unless that one thread is the only thing you want to read in there. I usually read my threads from the New Posts link at the top of the page.. so all I get is the thread list and the "last post"

RE: Reading from where you left off
Ditto. I always click the "view today's posts" so I'm very rarely coming from the main page :/

Def something to look into...

RE: Reading from where you left off
Raynn there is a little green arrow next to each thread.
So with this post it says Reading from where you left off... on the left, directly next to the letter R from the word Reading is a little green arrow, that will take you to the last post YOU read in that thread happy

Hope i am not misunderstanding your question and that works happy
