My EM2LW Stats - Questions
HOLA!!! I'm a newbie here too!!! I'm really excited about following EM2WL concept. I downloaded the starter kit and have gone through all of my calculations. I was hoping to get some feedback on what I came up with.

A little background info on me:
Age 42 years young
Height 5'3"
Weight 200 pounds
Activity level is medium
I will begin a ladies boot-camp three times per week, adding that activity to what I currently do which is jog for 30 minutes three times per week. And I occasionally do 60 minutes of hot yoga on days I don't jog. Basically working out 4-5 times per week for 60 minutes each session.

Here are my stats based on Scooby's site:
BMR = 1600
TDEE = 2500 (rounded up)
TDEE Cut Value 15% = 2125 (not rounded)
So then on days I'm working out I should consume my TDEE Cut Value 15% = 2125, correct?
And on days I don't work out consume closer to my BMR = 1600?
If no change in a month consider changing one thing (more intense workout or cut 100 calories, or eat more protein, less carbs, etc.)

Also, I'm considering the following diet percentage breakdown:
Carbohydrates 40%
Protein 30%
Fat 30%
In the past I would lose weight more quickly by limiting my sugars and carbs. Has anyone tweaked with their percentages to get a lower carb output and still see results? For example 30/50/20 (carb/protein/fat).

Sorry I know this is a LOT to ask. I really want to be able to be successful at this and math is not my strong point. Hoping once I figure this out I can then pay it forward to others.

RE: My EM2LW Stats - Questions
Okay you eat your cut calories everyday.

Remember you need carbs to fuel your workout. Carbs give you energy. Protein is good but too much isn't. All of your workouts are cardio based so I wouldn't drop carbs any further.

If no progress in a month consider cutting cardio back a bit and starting a strength training program. A heavy lifting program 3hrs a week and 2 cardio sessions on non lift days.

Eating more, lifting heavy and loving life!

You definitely needs carbs with all that cardio. I speak from experience in cutting cardio and adding weights was the best thing I did. Good luck on your journey feel free to add me on mfp. I'm 40 and 5 ft 2 so pretty close to you.big grin
