New to eating more and scared!
Hi Im new to eating more to lose weight. I have lost 52 pounds eating 12-1400 calories. 1 month ago I started eating at my TDEE minus 20% I was wondering for the people who changed and upped their calories, how long did it take for your body to adjust and start losing weight again? Im feeling a bit discourged. Thanks!

RE: New to eating more and scared!
Hi! Welcome! When was the last time you took a diet break - eating all the way at maintenance? I'd start there if it's been awhile. If you've been doing lowcal for a long time, you may want to go all the way to TDEE and do a reset before going to cut. Your body needs time to trust that it's not going back to lowcal and to be ready to let go of some of the weight. Also, what's your workout routine like? Are you lifting? Sometimes water retention keeps the scale from moving down even when positive changes are happening. Do you measure, take pics, etc...? The scale will inevitably stall at times, so it's good to have other ways to measure progress!

Crystal
